Stitch a sweet Mini Penny Christmas Tree Rug. Could be a nice take-along project since it uses fusible web and then blanket-stitched around the edges with embroidery floss. Added to Christmas Crafts and NeedleCrafts

Searching for an out-of-print pattern? Good news -the Leisure Arts Patterns Library is now online. Each pattern costs a few dollars and can be downloaded instantly. The selection is huge for all types of crafts – Crochet, Knitting, Needlework, Sewing, Plastic Canvas and more. The patterns are pdf files and sized to print on letter-size paper. I know many people will love their plasic canvas dollhouse furniture. It’s adorable. The baby crochet sets are also very nice. This is a great resource for crafters, so happy browsing!

Here’s your basic simple Christmas Tree Cross Stitch Chart. What you do with it is up to you! I love teeny-tiny Christmas ornaments so I plan to have a lot of fun making one of these! Maybe I could rubber-stamp Shrinky-Dinks and make my own little Christmas balls and stars and candy canes…

I’ve been intrigued by needle-felting lately. Someday I may put together a needle-felting page here at AllCrafts.net. Until then, I will admire creations like these:

Ell-Elle the Elephant Needle Felted OOAK Sculpture

Gallagher Giraffe Needle Felted OOAK Sculpture
Congratulations McBrideHouse for being so creative! (Can you show me how to do it?)

Like baseball? Check the calendar here for your local major or minor league baseball team’s Stitch ‘N Pitch Night where crocheters, knitters, and needleworkers are encouraged to bring their project along while watching a night of baseball. Looks like a nice group — they also collect handmade bookmarks to distribute in encouraging literacy.

When someone asked me recently about tatting, I realized that all the great resources on the internet for tatting were gone… so we made our own! Browse 300+ tatting patterns and several links to tatting instructions. Tatting, for the uninitiated, is handmade lace made with a shuttle or needle and thread. Originally developed when lace was expensive, it is a craft that is great to take along. There are still a few active tatting communities, including In Tatters, a nice discussion board. And there are lots of fun patterns from simple to complex.
