I usually digi-scrap realistic and cutesy, but I’m a big admirer of those fantasy layouts so I whipped one up a few minutes ago with this excellent kit

The world of Digital Scrapbooking has just exploded in the last year and I’ve been dipping my toe into it here and there. With all the digital photos on my computer, scrapping on the computer is the next step. It’s fast, fun, and there are thousands of free and low-cost scrapbooking digital kits. Digital kits are great because you can use them again and again, change them, resize them, etc, etc. And did I mention there are many, many free ones online??

Everyday, digital scrapbook designers release freebie kits, papers, embellishments, alphas, fonts, templates, and quick pages. They vary in quality, quantity, and theme. Some are just for fun and some are a sample to entice you to buy the full kit (which works, believe you me!).

I’ve quickly become a little addicted to browsing the designer’s blogs and online stores. It’s a blast and I’m learning more and more digital scrapbooking techniques, too. So, I’ve decided to share my new little hobby with you in my newest blog – Daily Digital Scrapbooking Freebies. Almost everyday, I post my favorite freebies with links so you can download them, too. And check often, some freebies are available for  just a limited time.  Hope you like it!

My little boy loves trains (and cars!) so we took him to a train show recently. He was thrilled, and I found out what slot-car racing is… I’m ready to scrap this memorable day and found this adorable kit at Two Peas in a Bucket.  I searched on “train,” and this one came right up after I clicked digital. They also  had a ton of paper scrapbooking train items that I was so tempted by!  This kit is perfect and I’ll use it alot because it’s not too babyish and has a nice selection of good embellishments.

Well, I don’t have the great kit that the layout used and, besides, that would be just plain old copying, not happy inspired “scrap-lifting,” so here’s mine -

While I do have some charming photos of my house snow-bound, I couldn’t find them… So instead, this is a lighted house in a beautiful flower arrangement I received for Christmas this year. Still a great memory!

Here’s “Forever Grateful, a lovely layout with some superb blending effects. I loved the focus on feet and how precious that detail can be when it is your family’s feet.
